  • Grace for the Afflicted

    Grace for the Afflicted

Research shows that 1 in 4 adults and 1 in 5 children will be living with a mental health challenge this year. That means you know someone who is wrestling with these issues… sometimes all alone, in a hidden way. Christ’s call for His people to “bear one another’s burdens” and to care for “the least of these” is a call for us to compassionately understand both the biblical and scientific insights into mental health.

Grace for the Afflicted is an 8-week study of the book by the same name by Matthew Stanford that will help participants learn and integrate both biblical and scientific perspectives on mental illness and mental health. Describing common mental disorders, Stanford asks of each of us: "What does science say and what does the Bible say about this illness?" This group is for anyone who wants to learn more and understand how to compassionately care for those living with mental health challenges… friends, family members, maybe even yourself.

  • Faith Lessons: In the Dust of the Rabbi

Faith Lessons: In the Dust of the Rabbi

Faith Lessons is a unique video series that brings God’s Word to life with astounding relevance. By weaving together the Bible’s fascinating historical, cultural, religious, and geographical contexts, teacher and historian Ray Vander Laan reveals unique insights into the Scriptures’ significance for modern believers. These sessions take you on a journey to the land and culture in which the disciples learned to follow Jesus, their Rabbi, so closely that they were covered by the dust kicked up by His feet. Filmed on location in Galilee, Priene, and Didyma, these illuminating “faith lessons” afford a new understanding of the Bible that will ground your convictions and transform your life.
