The purpose of the new Member to Member Ministry will be to create opportunities for mutual care among those who call Lighthouse home, living out the biblical directions to comfort, encourage, support, and serve one another so that the love of Christ may be known. Through such things as visitation, phone conversations, meal trains, helping hands, and bereavement support ministries, our Member to Member team will serve the congregation and expand our ministry in practical ways.

pdf6 Things You should Know About Member to Member

Components of the Member to Member Ministry at Lighthouse include:
  • Visitation Ministry - Member to Member provides personal visitation to the homebound (due to age, illness, injury, etc.) as well as those in a hospital or nursing home setting.
  • Women Shepherds - In partnership with the Prayer and Women's Ministries, Women Shepherds are available to pray with, give short-term support to, and bridge women at Lighthouse to various Care, Support, and Discipleship opportunities available within the congregation.
  • Meal Train - For Lighthouse families who are recovering from hospital stays, illness, bereavement, the birth of a child, or other stressful times, the Meal Train Ministry helps to give support by providing meals for a limited time.
  • Compassion/Helps - We have a pool of handymen who can lend help to senior citizens, single moms, and military wives with small around the house repairs, yardwork, and automotive care.
