Freezing Nights is a Christian ministry that provides food and shelter to the homeless in the Puyallup area during the coldest winter months (November 1 - March 31). Using local church buildings, Freezing Nights cares for homeless guests between the hours of 7:00pm to 7:00am. Volunteers from the host church, and perhaps other churches, offer assistance in the form of food, fellowship, transportation to and from the host church, and overnight security.
Lighthouse is privileged to be a part of this ministry that aligns with several of our Core Values: community transformation, grace-filled relationships, hands-on ministry and faithfulness with God's resources. Everything we are blessed with in this life has come from God. We desire to share our time and resources to reach those in need. Making this ministry venture successful requires many from our church family to join the team.
