Missions Weekend is an exciting time of celebrating all that God is doing locally and around the world through our missionaries. Our weekend worship services will feature guest speakers from Lighthouse who have recently participated in short-term mission trips. Missions Workshops

Theology of Missions: May 4

Mission does not begin in history with Eve, Abraham, or Israel but in eternity with God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This workshop focuses on the biblical mandate for missions as a vital part of our Christian faith. We will examine God’s mission of love from Genesis to Revelation, emphasizing the divine mandate, the importance of proclamation, and the centrality of the local church and the Lordship of Christ.

Understanding the "Unreached": May 11

Of the estimated 7.47 billion people alive in the world today, 3.15 billion of them live in unreached people groups with little or no access to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. According to Joshua Project, there are approximately 16,800 unique people groups in the world with about 6,900 of them considered unreached. The vast majority (95%) of these least reached groups exist in the 10/40 window and less than 10% of missionary work is done among these people. Come learn more about how Lighthouse is reaching the unreached!

Bridges to Your Muslim Neighbor: CANCELLED!

THIS WORKSHOP IS CANCELLED!

This dynamic workshop is designed to help Christians better understand Islam; to identify connecting points of conversation; learn basic apologetics to defend Christianity, and most importantly to build relationships with Muslims in our own community.

The workshop will address two engaging questions: What happens when you try to grasp the meaning and reality of another faith and why is Islam worth studying? Bridges to Your Muslim Neighbor is an engaging and practical approach making this topic open to multiple generations (Jr. High and up).
