The Sales family can regularly be spotted spending weekends in search of the perfect playground, farmers market, or scenic walk/hike, as well as enjoying being “home bodies” in this season of life that entails the survival of parenting two very energetic children. Brandon himself is a big sports fan, and loves following the latest Seattle Mariner news or trying to find a little time to sneak in a round of golf. Brandon is the youngest of five children, and his childhood was filled with sports and family in one of the most beautiful towns in the Northwest—Snoqualmie, WA. Brandon says, “the greatest highlight of his youth was coming to faith in Jesus Christ through the faithful love and witnessing of a high school friend’s family.”
Brandon graduated from Mount Si High School in Snoqualmie, WA. After graduation, he attended and finished his undergraduate degree at Pacific Lutheran University. Before graduating, Brandon’s love for ministry began growing through his involvement with Ignite Campus Ministry at PLU. By the time Brandon graduated from PLU with a degree in History, Brandon was part of the core leadership team of Ignite Campus Ministry for three years, helping oversee men’s discipleship and prayer ministry. (Brandon also found time to become an All-American player as catcher on the PLU baseball team.)
After graduation from PLU, Brandon immediately stepped into full-time ministry, focusing primarily on giving leadership to young adult ministries in the South Sound area. This included being part of leadership at the International House of Prayer Northwest and Thrive Young Adult Ministries from 2009 to 2014.
In 2014, Brandon began his post-graduate degree in Biblical Theology at Western Seminary and will graduate with his M.A. in May of 2018. Brandon is also licensed with the Christian & Missionary Alliance and working toward ordination.
Brandon’s call to Lighthouse began in 2015. During these last few years at Lighthouse, he has served in the role of High School Pastor, discipling and leading our students at LCC into a deeper and fuller love for Jesus Christ, as well as being a member of our Preaching Team and Family Ministry Team since 2016.
Over the last three years, the Lighthouse congregation has had the ability to watch Brandon grow and thrive in his pastoral calling to shepherd both our High School students and our congregation. Anyone who has spent time with Brandon knows that his greatest passion is to communicate and see the Church grow in their understanding of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and truly be transformed into fully-devoted followers of Jesus. Brandon shines when he has an opportunity to teach the Word of God, lead others into ministry, and disciple others to encounter Jesus.
When you hear Brandon talk about his vision for the future of Lighthouse Christian Center, he says, “I want to see God’s glory magnified in the Puyallup Valley through transformed disciples of Jesus Christ who are learning more and more what it means to be a gospel presence in every sphere of their lives.”
