MISSION MOMENT: OCTOBER 2020

MISSION MOMENT: OCTOBER 2020

Our Mission Moment this month focuses on REST, an organization offering hope for those caught in sex trafficking. In the Seattle/King County area alone, over 2,000 individuals are currently being exploited in the sex trade industry. A significant number of those people are homeless or living in unstable housing. REST is an organization that provides real help for those seeking a path out of the sex trade.

REST provides a holistic continuum of care for victims and survivors of sex trafficking through their Drop-In and Emergency Receiving Centers, Community Advocacy program, and the REST House. REST is a Christian organization that reaches out to people of all faiths. Because of their ministry to the hurting and exploited in our area, Lighthouse supports REST on an annual basis as one of our ministry partners.
