Throughout the month of July, we will purposely reach out to be the hands and feet of Jesus to our neighbors and surrounding community.

Ideas for getting involved:
1. Volunteer to serve with one of our local partners (REST, CareNet, Olive Crest, etc). See below.
2. Sign up to volunteer with others who need help with their submitted projects. See below.
3. Just do it. You don’t have to formally submit or volunteer for a project. Just find a way to share the love of Jesus with your neighbors and go serve as a family, a home group, as friends, or whatever.

Habitat for Humanity

Volunteers age 16 and older are welcome to join us as we construct a home in South Tacoma. For safety reasons, children under age 16 are not allowed on an active construction site while work is in progress. Follow the link below to sign up.

For families with children under 16, I suggest engaging the children in preparing snacks for volunteers and bringing those out during Building on Faith. Non-perishable snack items are preferred. Homemade cookies or things that can be stored for a short time are also ok. Bottled water is always needed.

If families would like to provide snacks, please email Tracey Sorenson directly at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Volunteer Coordinators will meet them on site to ensure the childrens’ safety.
